Why work with me?

Health coaching gives clients the ability to take control of their health – we help to balance a healthy lifestyle, including diet. We ensure that our clients are finding nourishment in all aspects of their lives. We understand that each person is bio-individual, meaning that each person experiences “healthy living” in a different way, and has their own unique preferences and requirements. Health coaching is driven by the goals that our clients set. My job, as a health coach, is most important to provide my clients with the support and knowledge I believe they need to reach the goals they specify for their health. While we will work together hand in hand to help you reach these goals, I’ll also provide you with lasting tools to continue to manage your health and the health of your loved ones. Health is an ongoing process that takes time and focus, so let’s work together to develop the tools that work best for YOU.

3-month program:

The 3-month program is a great way to start if you are curious about working with a health coach. This is a great way to set some goals for your health, receive direction, and get a kick start on creating new habits and making changes.

 

  • One 30-minute, 1:1 health history consultation. This is how we will get to know each other and ensure that the partnership will be a good fit for both of us. This meeting could take up to an hour if we agree to work together, adding time to account for a further discussion of the program, expectations, etc.
  • Two 50 minute 1:1 sessions a month, for 3 months. This can be in person or via skype/phone depending on location.
  • Email support between sessions.
  • Access to public and private Facebook pages. The public page (Alexandria’s Wellness), is for anyone interested in my health coaching services in content. The private page (Alexandria’s Wellness Program), is specifically for my paying clients, creating a welcoming community for further discussion, education, and idea-sharing.

6-month program:

The 6-month program is perfect if you are ready to jump right in! You are committed to reaching your goals, and are in for the long-haul! Maybe you’ve gone through the 3-month program, and have decided to continue working with me. This program includes additional support, gifts that I hand-pick for you based on the goals you set, and add on services specifically in the area of nutrition.

 

  • One free 30-minute, 1:1 health history consultation. This is how we will get to know each other and ensure that the partnership will be a good fit for both of us. This meeting could take up to an hour if we agree to work together, adding time to account for a further discussion of the program, expectations, etc.
  • Two 50 minute 1:1 sessions a month, for 6 months. This can be in person or via skype/phone depending on location.
  • Email support between sessions.
  • Additional resources I feel will benefit YOU specifically (books, handouts, journals, podcasts, etc.)
  • Access to public and private Facebook pages. The public page (Alexandria’s Wellness), is for anyone interested in my health coaching services in content. The private page (Alexandria’s Wellness Program), is specifically for my paying clients, creating a welcoming community for further discussion, education, and idea-sharing.
  • Opportunities for “add on” services:
    • Grocery store tours
    • Personalized meal plans
    • Meal prep/cooking demos

Monthly Meal Plans

This is a great option for someone very tight on time, who is still looking to invest in himself or herself. This plan will be completely focused on nutrition. We’ll discuss and take a deep dive into the foods and drinks that provide you the most nourishment. This is NOT a diet plan, but rather a plan for accountability and intuitive eating. I, personally, don’t believe in eliminating food groups, unless of course, you have a sensitivity or allergy that we need to work around. Using an integrative plate framework, and after discussing your preferences, I’ll build a plan built to fuel and nourish you, that also complements your favorite tastes.

 

  • One free 30-minute, 1:1 health history consultation. This is how we will get to know each other and ensure that the partnership will be a good fit for both of us. This meeting could take up to an hour if we agree to work together, adding time to account for your taste and meal preferences, and discuss allergies and sensitivities.
  • This plan can be paid monthly, and if you choose to renew, we will set up recurring meetings once a month to track progress, feedback, and continue to alter the meal plan to ensure it nourishes you best.

Why do I recommend a 6-month program?

I’m sure a lot of people wonder why the number is 6. Why not a year? 6 months seems like so long, but in the long run, it’s a very short amount of time. Especially when you are breaking down old habits, creating new ones, and especially ones that last a lifetime!

This number was provided to me and my classmates by the Institute of Integrative Nutrition. 6 months provides a sufficient of time for people to builds habits into their life, and sustain them for the long term.

So WHY am I coaching clients on their health:

Helping my clients discover self-care for better health care.

I believe that people have lost their mind-body connection. There is so much going on in our lives – work, family, relationships, TECHNOLOGY. Our brains never get a break, and are moving faster than ever before. This is taking a toll on our lives in various ways that nearly everyone experiences – stress (personal and financial), digestive issues, and most importantly a lack of focus on ourselves.

I want to help clients rediscover this mind-body connection via self-care. I’m not talking about going to the spa and getting a massage or buying yourself that luxurious soft blanket you’ve been thinking about for days. I mean, finding time to focus on YOU in your everyday life, and not just for 5 minutes each day. Self-care is a decision to make a promise to better yourself, and its hard work.

Deciding to better yourself is the first and essential step of self-care. While working together, we’ll find ways to balance the aspects of your life and finding satisfaction in each by weaving self-care and gratitude into each one. We’ll focus on things like relationships, career, education, home cooking, and of course nutrition and physical activity.

Self-care for me entails cooking my meals weekly or more, journaling, tracking my habits, going to a low-intensity fitness class a few times a week in the morning, calling loved ones in my free time, finding a work-life balance, and practicing breathing/meditation. I am the first to admit I am a work in progress and have not found perfection in these areas. These are the things that make me feel best when I do them often, and when I weave them into my daily activities.
